Procedia Food Science
A Procedia Food Science edition with the abstracts of the conference will be published
What is Food Science Procedia?
Launched in November 2011, Food Science Procedia is an e-only product focussed entirely on publishing high quality conference proceedings. Food Science Procedia enables fast dissemination so conference delegates can publish their papers in a dedicated online issue on ScienceDirect, which will then be made freely available worldwide. Conference proceedings will be accepted for publication in Food Science Procedia based on suitability and will be required to meet certain criteria, including relevance to an international audience and covering highly cited or timely topics.
What does Food Science Procedia offer authors?
Food Science Procedia offers a single, highly recognized platform where conference papers can be hosted and accessed by millions of researchers. Authors will know where to go to keep abreast of the latest developments in their field. All proceedings will appear online, on Science Direct, within 8 weeks of acceptance of the final manuscripts via the conference organizer and will then be freely available to all users. Food Science Procedia offers authors a fast and cost effective way to provide maximum exposure for their papers. Templates (both Latex and Word) will be provided to assist in the publication and the final online papers will contain linked references, XML versions and DOI numbers. All papers published in Food Science Procedia will also be covered by Scopus.
Submission guidelines for authors
All guidelines and documents pertaining to the submission process can be found in the webpage www.journals.elsevier.com/procedia-food-science n the right hand side menu and also in the Guide for Editors www.elsevier.com/journals/procedia-food-science/2211-601X/guide-for-authors.
Please upload the Manuscript Tracking Form www.elsevier.com/inca/publications/misc/Manuscript_tracking_form.zip along with the articles to the FTP site (ftp://ftp.elsevier.com/elsevier-out) and let me know the path of the file. The Manuscript Tracking Form is used for obtaining information about the order in which the articles should appear in the issue and the details that are to appear on the cover of the issue such as the name of the conference, names of Guest Editors and their order of appearance. Hence it is important for us to receive this form as accurate as possible. We will be unable to proceed with production until we receive the completed Manuscript Tracking form.
If the issue contains an Editorial/Preface, this must be uploaded along with the rest of the articles and listed in the Manuscript Tracking Form. We will not accept files submitted post-upload.
Please consult the Upload Checklist for Guest Editors prior to uploading the files to the FTP site. Proofs will not be sent to Authors or Editors at any time during production.
Please ensure that all the figures are of 300 DPI resolutions as this will facilitate good output.
All Authors must be instructed to contact the Guest Editor for queries regarding the issue pre- and post-publication.
As Procedia follows Camera Ready Copy workflow, PDF format will be used for Production. However, for XML processing purpose, we would like to request you to provide MS Word files as well along with PDF.
- Please note that there must not be any inconsistency between the PDF and source file.
Following submission of the files to the FTP site, kindly ensure to send an e-mail, containing the link to the FTP site, to ProcediaSubmissions@elsevier.com with a copy to the journal mailbox PROFOO@elsevier.com.
